The proposal was presented by the Indian Energy company Petronet LNG as an immediate solution to the power generation issue.

This discussion was held this morning between the Indian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka, Gopal Baglay, Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekara and several other officials where the Indian energy company Petronet LNG presented short-term, immediate solutions for CEB's LNG requirements.

Minister Wijesekera thanked the High Commissioner for India in Sri Lanka for organizing the presentation and discussion.
